Cooling Company (website address: https://coolingcompany.co.uk) is a trading style of London Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Ltd (LRAC). We appreciate your business and trust. As a London-based company, we provide refrigeration and air conditioning products and services across the UK.
These terms set out the basis on which Cooling Company supplies products and services to customers in the UK. By placing an order with us—whether online, by phone, or in person—you agree to be bound by these terms. They are designed to ensure transparency, protect both parties, and complement your statutory rights under UK law.
General Terms
By placing an order with Cooling Company, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Sale. These terms apply to all purchases unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Pricing & Payment
- All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT, unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is due prior to dispatch, unless credit terms have been agreed.
- We reserve the right to adjust prices due to supplier changes, currency fluctuations, or typographical errors.
Delivery
- Delivery dates are estimates only and may vary due to stock availability or courier delays.
- Risk passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.
- Claims for non-delivery or damage must be made within 3 working days.
Title
- Goods remain the property of LRAC until full payment is received.
- We reserve the right to recover unpaid goods from the customer’s premises.
Installation & Use
- Installation must be carried out by a qualified refrigeration or air conditioning engineer.
- LRAC is not liable for faults arising from incorrect installation, misuse, or unauthorised modifications.
Standard Warranty
- New products are covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from the date of delivery.
- Used or refurbished items may carry a limited warranty (typically 3 months).
Warranty Conditions
- Warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
- It does not cover:- Damage due to incorrect installation or misuse.
- Consumables or wear-and-tear parts.
- Labour costs unless agreed in writing.
 
Warranty Claims
- Claims must be submitted in writing with:- Proof of purchase
- Description of fault
- Installation details
 
- LRAC reserves the right to inspect or test returned goods before approving a claim.
Overseas Warranty
- Warranty coverage applies only to goods installed within the UK mainland.
- For overseas installations, LRAC may assist by contacting local suppliers, but cannot guarantee service or parts availability.
- Customers are responsible for returning parts to the UK for testing, if required.
